It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time a Polish public institution joins the decentralized social network.
Over ten years ago, the Ministry of Administration and Digitization had joined StatusNet, a predecessor to fedi: https://identi.ca/maic
That account has not been active for years now.
However, it is still notable, as it was among the first — if not the first — official decentralized social media account of any government institution anywhere in the world.
