In fact, I've noticed for a while already that people very often tend to either place a screenshot of a post, or to link to a post, and I think that could've been a quote post easily, y'know?

@freemo A terrible version of copy and paste, because they could be posting a blocked-by-me person's contents that I absolutely didn't want to see. And the quote post would actually PROTECT me in that case.

@trinsec Exactly, quote toots respect privacy and settings, while other means like screen shots and copy and paste do not.
