It’s boiling down to #Ubiquiti vs #Mikrotik. #UniFi has more appeal, the app looks nice but I don’t need WiFi router (I already have 3 TP-Link Deco in a mesh) and the prices are hell. #Mikrotik looks about right, but man… WinBox looks like shit and the learning curve is probably steep… SEND HELP!🤡
@ssamulczyk take a look at mikrotik android app. Looks a bit better but it's still basically a wrapper for Api. If you are network guy then #mikrotik is great. Yes it's takes time to learn it but the gain is worth it. Basically the best approach to mikrotik is ssh+cli. If you just want an fire forget solution than #unfi UBIQUITI UXG-Lite will be good for you 🙂
@Fidor Thanks for your input. I’m IT Sec/Admin, but lazy AF…🤣 UniFi looks nice and easy, but I have an impression it’s never „buy one and forget” product. They seem to be Shimano like scum, where you buy one thing and you need shitload of additional small stuff for the price of the initial purchase… I’m more and more leaning towards Mikrotik, but I’m not sure hEX S will be enough ports, or maybe I should go with L009…🤡
