The simple joy of watching a video titled "This will RUIN the hobby! (it's not what you think)" and submitting a non-clickbait replacement title to Dearrow. It's so nice.
(it was elitism, the thing that will ruin the hobby is elitism. Apparently we needed a 7-minute video to say this, even though I don't even have to tell you which hobby it is, because it's true of literally all of them)
@creachadair Amusingly I vaguely recall the threshold is 8 minutes to be allowed to insert a second ad spot, so it's not even a skillfully executed lazy content grab 😂
@creachadair The video length was in fact 7 minutes, I'm just amused that, as you say, it's about 6.9min longer than it needs to be to say "elitists suck", and yet somehow also not the optimal size for revenue extraction. It's almost performance art!
In fairness to the video I suppose, it did go into some reasonable detail and stuff. I was just annoyed a bit :)
