@coolboymew I dunno, I just know this from the news. I had already written off the CPC for PPC before that leadership race began, but some things still made it into my head
hello fellow durhamite. personally I'm not convinced the ppc is a genuine option. seems more opportunistic to me. if there were more libertarians in this area, I'd go that route, but alas, they're marginal, in spite of having a sterling track record from day one.

In my opinion, the only way to reboot this is starting at the municipal level. Firstly, organise community meetups with like-minded folks to discuss local issues. Then go on down to city hall en-mass on a regular basis and strong-arm the politicians until they get the picture loud and clear.
Do that in such a way that the model can be replicated in every small community like a stack of dominoes. Spread it far and wide. Also, unincorporate all the townships so that they actually represent the citizenry, not some legal fiction for international businesses.
Also, though this is a little more ambitions and potentially challenging, swap out all forms of taxation for equivalent crowd-funding schemes. If people choose to enrol as a sponsor for something like road construction/maintenance, then they get a voucher/receipt. Otherwise they pay a toll like everyone else. Deregulate and detax all the things!
PS. I'm aware the devils are in the details, but I strongly suspect they'd be fewer and further between than the current status quo. Not to mention morally grounded on bedrock, rather than a euphemized extortion racket.
