My ebooks and audiobooks (from Tor Books, Head of Zeus, McSweeneys, Beacon, Verso and others) are for sale all over the net, but I sell 'em too, and when you buy 'em from me, I earn twice as much and you get books with no DRM and no license "agreements."

@pluralistic Hi, i wanted to ask about the general toot volume for the "Long thread/x" toots.
I have cw expanded by default (just makes more sense for me personally, not much bad stuff coming by). I also prefer to read the articles on pluralistic.net.

Now i would like to get all the replies and individual responses in my timeline, but not all the individual "long thread" toots.

As far as i can see it, filters will not work, since i cannot filter "Long thread/<everything except 1>", Lists would seperate all your toots (not what i want).

Is this a known problem, is there a solution i am overlooking?

@pluralistic Thank you for putting thought into this.

It seems my way of handling cw is incompatible with the best solution you have, so i guess i'll have to live with that.

On second thought, filtering "Long thread" seems practical. After all, if discussions take place, you will boost some stuff and i'll be tipped off that something is available to read!

Very interesting thing about unlisted, i did not know that! Sad that the very useful functionality to not spam people does not exist.

krupo,

@pluralistic ironically can't look up details about the Toronto events as the ransomware attack has kept the Library website offline

Cory got a personal link to the events?

@krupo Pretty sure they both start at 7PM, both at Metro Ref.

If it is truly a #ClimateCrisis can one justify all this travel ?

if so , what are the rules that say some travel is ok and other travel isn't

I mean, for fuck's sake, is it a crisis or isn't it ??

@pluralistic It's odd to me that Anguilla is only charging $140 for their domain. No reason not to charge a lot more. $1k! $10k! It's all just a rounding error in the VC largesse being bestowed on their customers. What are the tech bros going to do? Not get a .ai domain? Anguilla should just think of it as their wealth tax on the global 1%.
