Maybe Musk want's to prove "HE decides what is reality," or that HE is the last authority on what is "authentic?"

That seems to be the case with a few of his peers at least.

@niemanlab I would say it’s because he as a fascist likes to think that everybody secretly thinks like him and given the right conditions, will admit that he’s correct and will validate him.

He really wants people to like him, and despite the facade, he’s sad that people hate his bullshit and see him for who he is.
