@HailsandAles@derthomas@jayes Oh man! This is one of my favourite Anvil albums! Daggers and Rum is a terrific song! It's Your Move has a really good groove to it. Ambushed, Run Like Hell and Die For A Lie are also great tracks. Honestly, this is a really good record - especially for a band that has been at it for over 30 years at that point.
@derthomas I remembered them from the 80s more from.seeing them mentioned in magazines than their actual music, it took their documentary to bring me around sonically.
That all said, though, I do have Napalm Death's "You Suffer" as my message alert sound. 🤘😆
@derthomas Both Strapping Young Lad and Dark Tranquillity were like the soundtrack to my life as a long-haired, sardonic, Internet-addicted, angry teenager in the mid 00s, so this makes picking one or the other difficult. But if forced to sum up which one ultimately likely has given me more hours of listening pleasure, I think I'll have to give this one to HevyDevy
@trendskater@vanessawynn this I don't know, but the film is really good. You can see that they live and breath for their music, and they never stop, even after the biggest drawbacks.
