Firefox for Android is getting desktop extensions support 🎉
Developers should prepare to get their extensions ready for Android. "Definite launch date" will be announced in "early September" but it's "safe to expect a roll-out before the year's end."
@MishaalRahman think this is great, especially with what seems like some genuine mindshare of people looking to switch from Chrome in the very near future, it's another blocker removed.
@corbin@MishaalRahman Thing is, the previous Firefox for Android was… inefficient and slow. This one feels okay when put side by side with Chromium’s offering.
@linuxct@MishaalRahman Yeah the rewritten browser was a big improvement except for the extensions thing, also last I checked the tabbed tablet UI from the previous codebase has not come back
