@cjk @slomo Well that’s a plus.

And then a minus. Especially Microsoft - though in my experience I don’t have as much trouble with Microsoft as I do with gmail addresses.

There are independent email providers that you can use besides Google or Microsoft.

Unlike those big companies, email is their main business so they will do a better job of it.

The big companies have no incentive to fine tune spam filters so avoid blocking small servers.

But, it's not 1993. Hosting servers requires a lot more work to protect against the abuse. You can't just quickly set up a server and walk away from it anymore.
