Sen. Bernie Sanders, a Vermont independent, said in a statement ahead of the votes that he would offer amendments to "cut billions in offensive military funding to Israel" from the foreign aid package and "protect essential humanitarian operations."
I don’t know enough to say whether this kind of thing is possible or what are the details - but I already contacted my senators and asked them not to give more aid to Israel.
