@pixel Ooh. Great morning reading. I’ve a real soft spot for that company. It was sad to watch it falter as NT began to take the lunch of the UNIX Workstations.

@Gte Same. I used an Indy and Indigo at a company in 1993/4 and they were amazing. I bought an Indy a few years ago because nostalgia.

@pixel @Gte was it expensive?

@woolie @Gte I waited for a long time for a good price. Got mine for $225, in working condition !

@pixel if I wanted a nice one I could trick out, what would I be looking for?

I never got to work on one when they were around.

@woolie I was just looking for anything under $500. I got very lucky that it was working. At the age they are many of them will need to have their Dallas clock chip replaced. Maybe some capacitors too.

@Gte @pixel yeah, I remember when they switched to being generic Intel NT workstations it got very sad.

@danhon @Gte Agreed. As neat and powerful as the O2 was, it was still just an Intel machine. I never got to use the higher-end Intel machines they made though.
