@grumpygamer I'm sorry :( Not only did the Mac-Export failed during the latest exports, but I never got it running with Steam. BUT: I will try to get it running (the export) and then I will upload the full (mac) version to Itch for free. :)
@simonschreibt@grumpygamer i am also unfortunately waiting for the Mac build. The itch version worked flawlessly for me previously. I'm looking forward to playing through the latest version.
@someguyjg@grumpygamer I just uploaded a Mac-Build to Itch. You can download it for free (it's the full game). You have to disable the Guard-Keeper-Thingie (because my game is not signed by Mr Apple) but it should work then.
@simonschreibt@grumpygamer awesome, thanks for the update. I'll be sure to buy it as well, I've already had a lot of fun with the game. I'm very familiar with the annoyances of gatekeeper.
@someguyjg@grumpygamer in fact, a dev Friend told me that it should be possible to put Mac stuff on steam (even without xcode) and steam would handle the gatekeeper stuff. I'll look into that!
@simonschreibt@someguyjg It is true. Gatekeeper is not run if the app installed via another app. None of my games are notarized. Although they are signed, but you might not even need that with Steam. They don't do anything special, it's a Mac thing.
@grumpygamer@simonschreibt That's interesting, because it did fail for me, I got the "app is damaged and can't be opened" warning, which you can use a terminal command to overturn and it worked fine after that. This has been a common experience for me with game downloads.
@someguyjg@grumpygamer Someone in my community got this "damaged"-warning as well and said "it does not work on an M2". I guess it's a different chip? Maybe games work only on newer Macs?
