What with the no-doubt immanent enshittification of #bandcamp I'd like to direct people's attention to projects like #Faircamp by @freebliss and #Funkwhale@funkwhale. While not a drop-in replacements for BC as of yet, I think these are an excellent starting points for an #ethical, #decentralised & healthy #music community.

Since #Faircamp has the ability to put a download behind a code (if I'm reading it correctly), would it be possible to just sell Licence Keys on #Gumroad that work for the code and link across to the site, like @m15o does for registration of their projects? @freebliss@funkwhale
@ddlyh@freebliss That should work fine (though a bit fiddly). The "buy page" is still a bit of a work in progress, as far as I'm aware. As the codeberg page says of it, "functionally there but rather bare in usability". Still, I use it and really like it even in it's current state.
