I suspect this is part of bus driver training.
I'm imagining the DMV making it a part of every driving test for your license. Some people learn best by experiencing the consequences of their actions from the victim's perspective.
We have this kind of training for the bus drivers and bikers in Santiago, usually on June third, “Global Bicycle Day”. It has great activities and prizes!
@exador23 The tweet is lost to the aether now but a British traffic cop said that when they wanted to trial this in the UK for traffic offences it was deemed "torture" and they couldn't do it
@exador23 Mexico has very different standards. The driver who hits a pedestrian is typically assumed at fault - and unlike here there are serious consequences. I was specifically warned about this difference while driving down there.
