BotW has a difficulty scaling mechanic running in the background at all times. The moreenemies you kill, the more the world around you will level up: enemies turning into higher-ranked individuals, weapons turning into better variants, boosts / bonuses like extra attack power or extra durability … this mechanic was made to...
A leftover screenshot from an older project where I took some armor / shock res tests during the Thunderblight fight. Link was obviously NOT digging it. (The text is edited of course)...
As much as I adore that furry little moron, it can be quite the hassle to play with him by your side if you also want to complete your Hyrule Compendium with personal pictures. He WILL try to kill everthing that's bigger than a squirrel (at least the lizard in pic no.4 was an accident and he had the decentcy to look guilty) and...
Breath of the Wild has a ton of different materials, weapons, enemies, etc. and most of them respawn. Despite the game being mostly foolproof, some things are still permanently missable:...
After you have completed the Tarrey Town questline at least up to the point when Hudson asks you to invite Bolson and Karson to the wedding, a new merchant will be availiable. Granté can be found on the balcony of the house with the donkey in the front yard....
A lot of people seem surprised by the existence of durians, but durians are at least somewhat common enough that you don’t have to spend two hours googling random foodstuff to determine whether or not they’re real....
A lot can change in a century .... so when Impa gave Link this quest, she kinda assumed that the locations in the pictures did not change beyond the point of being recognizable. From a gameplay point of view it makes sense that the player should be able to recognize those places easily, but in-game, it raises some questions....
It is easy to get stuck in the Dead End. If she asks for ten diamonds, and you either do not have them or simply do not WANT to sell them to her, she will never ask for anything else....
I know there are a lot of interactive maps out there, but a static map can be opened in any old picture editing program and you can manually cross off the ones you have already found, which can make it easier to keep track. Plus, you don’t need to be online to use it and/or use extra apps....
Touching the barrier itself doesn’t hurt you or your horse, so it is safe to do. The Hero’s Path (the green lines) are a DLC feature, but will still retroactively show up if you buy the DLC late as the game records your in-game movement anyway.
If you run past the Old Man on the Great Plateau directly after starting the game and don’t interact with him at all, there won’t be a diary inside the Woodcutter’s Hut. It makes sense if you keep in mind that this diary was made by Rhoam specifically so that Link can read it, instead of it being an actual diary for a...
…although you might have to squint a bit for the Vah Naboris head. A “front view” might have been easier to recognize, but since all others are side views, the devs probably didn’t want to break the scheme.
None of the pictures are photoshopped - they were simply taken in the same spot (Satori Mountain) during different times of the day (Noon, Blood Moon, after midnight) and with different equipment....
A shrine that is activated but not yet completed will not (yet) count for the loading screen counter. If you have found all shrines and the counter still says 119 on the loading screen, then it might be that you didn’t complete one of them yet (happens easily if you save Major Tests of Strength “for later” and then forget...
I have no idea how/why he glitched out, but instead of despawning or standing up to fight, he just lay there, face-down in the dirt until I awkwardly walked away to give him some space....
This is a community for all things related to The Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild … well, all except NSFW material. Everything else is highly welcome here, from helpful links, guides and artworks, to screenshots, achievements, memes, gameplay / lore questions and discussions, challenges, fails, and whatever else you can...
The actual in-game model does not match perfectly, but that might be due to the 3D artist not being able to read notes and thus not knowing where exactly to place the dots....
