Everyone who has encountered a “Traveler” during their journey knows that Yiga disguise themselves as Hylians in order to trick Link into interacting with them, but did you know that these “disguises” are 1:1 clones of other, properly named NPCs that exist somewhere else in Hyrule?...
This small, inconspicuous shop is one of my favorite examples of immersive world building in videogames. Most players probably won’t visit this shop more than once, or might be a regular customer but don’t pay attention to the finer details, but there is a LOT of small but interesting stuff to discover here....

A lot of the in-game books can be translated, but most of them have the placeholder/filler text about April Fool’s Day. Mattison’s diary however has both Hylian Script and Gerudo Letters, which isn’t surpising with parents like these, and a unique message not found in any other in-game books....
This only shows how many Shrines and Koroks are in any individual map tower zone, without spoiling their exact locations. Keep in mind tho that some Koroks are on/under bridges leading from one map tower zone to another, so opinions on where they belong to may differ....
You can actually read the Hylian script on the pages, tho I dearly hope that this is just a placeholder text … otherwise I have some questions for King Rhoam....
I like to try and translate in-game signs and books for fun, as most of them have a clear meaning and use English words. However, I have no idea what “yundumi” or “yungumi” are supposed to mean. At first I thought it might have been Yunobo’s name prior to localization, but his original name is ユンボ (Yun-bo) so...
IIRC this is even a loading screen hint, but just in case anyone missed it (or is interested in the actual ratio), I decided to quickly test it....
Personally, I like Revali’s “old” design better than the discount Falco we got in the end. Seems like they had a general fighter/musician theme going on with the Rito in general instead of just Kass in particular, and a cello bow (cellow?) would have been an interesting, unique weapon....
Sadly, Mattison doesn’t actually react to them, and they despawn if you reload or simply leave, but it was a fun little experiment nonetheless.

TotK has a neat bonus feature that automatically imports your registered horses from BotW - same bond and name as before, all free of charge....
You can also use a regular old torch for this, but those take up weapon inventory slots, whereas you can carry 999 wood bundles without issues.
It might not be that useful if you have a surplus of Zonai Charges anyway and can just refuel whenever you want with a single click, but it might be helpful during early-game exploration and challenge runs.

A lot of other NPCs also have extra dialogue when you’re naked and/or standing on their desks. Most will either get angry or politely ask you to stop being weird, but some actively embrace the weirdness - Hestu for example has a very happy reaction to a naked Link ;)
