iAmTheTot, So much negativity. I hope it turns out decent, but if it's not for me then I hope at least a new generation calls it a favourite. Happy Gilmore is one is my favourite films.
CarbonatedPastaSauce, Please don’t.
HelluvaKick, Society is too different now that “crazy guy plays golf” wouldn’t translate
jeffw, Are you saying “the time is WRONG” for a sequel?
Get it? I’m hilarious
TropicalDingdong, I sure as FUCK hope this is the idea we pitched on lemmy a while back where Happy has a daughter who he is trying to raise to be a golfer, but she sucks at golf and ends up training and becoming an enforcer (idk what the correct hockey position would be) for a hockey team. Happy has to come to terms with his daughter not following the path he set out for her.
DrSleepless, Meh
themeatbridge, Aww, this is a shitty way to find out Joe Flaherty died. Jackass.
Kolanaki, I have been saying I want to see more movies like Happy Gilmore and this feels like a Monkey’s Paw granted my wish. 😥
anarchrist, Crikey Gilmore! A washed up baseball pitcher moves down under and takes up cricket for a very convincing reason we will reference exactly once.
DemBoSain, Paul Hogan in the Carl Weathers role?
snooggums, (edited ) I’ll bet this is as good as all of the other comedy sequels that came out decades after the first, like Zoolander 2!
announced the long-awaited sequel to the 1996 film
Nobody was asking for a sequel.
ArtificialLink, How many of these decades later sequels have succeeded? Especially comedy based ones. No thanks adam Sandler
TropicalDingdong, Cobra Kai has done all right.
