I am loving the new GUI in the latest QubesOS, I just wish they made it easier to set dark mode everywhere, or at least out of the box have an option to set as default. #Cybersecurity#Infosec
I'll check my @mullvadnet subscription before the stream, as I think I am paid up until september which will get me through #DEFCON. But yeah the next few streams will be sprinkling in a few things I am doing for DEFCON prep. I also need to dust off my Pixel 7A with GrapheneOS and reset that so I can properly prep it. This is the phone I primarily use at DEFCON.
My nephew is 13 years old and started streaming around March, it was his dream to become a streamer so I got him all the equipment necessary and spent close to £2000.
Then out of the blue while streaming, he got suspended for unauthorized age so we appealed the ban and sent the required identification via their email which they instructed. We win the appeal and they explain that his details have been updated.
The next day while he's streaming Gang Beasts a game rated for ages 7+, it happens again reason unauthorised age, but the person reporting has made himself known by saying things in the chat. Then once he got banned he Snapchat messaged my nephew by tormenting/harassing him. It's a kid that goes to the same school as my nephew and also streams started around 2 years ago with only 9 followers, my nephew already has 33 followers within 2 months. So we report him for harassment and bullying, and we appeal the ban a second time.
Twitch chat:
Punk: hotheaded dwarf strikes again (calls my nephew a dwarf because he is 3-4 inches shorter)

Punk: shit stream
Punk: not entertaing at all
Punk: hotheaded dwarf
Then he snapchat messages my nephew saying:

Punk: by twitch moderation
Punk: aka me
Punk: i am the justice bringer of twitch
Punk: i am batman
My logic is, that he's a bully and an immature little brat, his parents are divorced and his dad has dragged up the punk. He's a cocky little weirdo who has no understanding of the world. I understand banter but this isn't, maybe once I can think it's a shit pathetic joke but oh well, but three times...
How is he able to keep falsely reporting him when the suspension is false and Twitch stated in the email:
"Your account was suspended or blocked due to a mistake on our part.
We have now reversed this suspension on your account, so you are free to use our services once again.
Apologies for any inconvenience or confusion this might have caused."
After a whole day of waiting we win the appeal and my nephew starts streaming again within an hour or two of streaming, he gets banned again for unauthorized age this being the third suspension within three days. This is where we are at now, we've appealed the suspension it's been around 12 hours with no response. No action has been taken against the little punk.
Not many kids like him in his year at school because of how he treats people and his behavior. He's a bully and this is pathetic but it's taking it out of my nephew and I won't let this little weirdo win.
He joined his Xbox party and said: "It's too easy, I'll never stop". Tormenting my nephew, the punks mate said to my nephew that he asked him to stop it's sad and the punk said that he reported him for terrorism for wearing a Spiderman mask, wtf? Never have I known any kid to be so envious, jealous, pathetic, and stupid. His IQ must be low.
Without being biased my nephew is the best kid I've known in regards to no profanity, respectful, responsible, mature when needed, smart, sensitive, popular, does boxing and kickboxing. Has never said a bad word about anybody. But Twitch isn't investigating what this little punk has been saying in chat. He has joked about the holocaust which I timed him out for as I didn't want any repercussion for banning him as my nephew goes to the same school, spams in chat, and calls people blud. He is an absolute clown/weasel.
Can anyone explain what are my options? Is there a higher authority to report cyberbullying rather than useless Twitch which doesn't have a support number or email? But instruct you to report on their platform. I've reported the little punk about 4 times once after every suspension and another after explaining a bit more about the situation and they've stopped me from reporting now.
This little punk has alternative accounts as well because he has nothing better to do than be a jealous, envious little society-destructive weasel who picks on kids who are smaller than him.

Well it looks like the memory is in fact bad on my Windows box I use for OBS and streaming. I will run to mIcrocenter tomorrow and pick up new RAM which will also be an upgrade. They have a 64GB Crucial kit for like 50% off and only $20 more than the 32GB kit, not that I need 64GB but it will be more breathing room for multitasking when streaming.
So I will hopefully stream tomorrow afternoon reinstalling Qubes OS on the Purism Librem 14.
@chiefgyk3d If it wasn't for Photoshop all PCs in my household would be Linux. My wife is too busy to learn GIMP. Microsoft is digging their own grave with Windows 11 hardware limitations and killing Windows 10 support next year.
@alphasixtyfive yeah I am in the middle of also making my OBS install portable when I had these memory issues so I can do a fresh install.
I built both desktops at the same time Linux one perfectly fine just ready for Pop!_OS 24.04 upgrade by blowing away the OS and reinstalling as I like a clean install every so often.
Windows, it’s crashing, windows files are corrupted, and weird issues like the receipt printer for streams just stopped working. Fucking hate windows
So apparently, according to Twitch, livestreaming yourself playing the SAME CLIP for 22 hours straight with EARRAPE AUDIO is perfectly fine & doesn't violate their terms of service. Are you...kidding me?
Tonight we go visit the Minecraft server of our very excellent @FusionWarrior , earned through years of support and more recently being among the top donors of our recent charity stream where we raised more than 1000€ for the German food bank!
