I did every route in #SteinsGate and saw the true ending. The other routes were easy, but I was lucky for getting Mayuri first try because of what they call "flags" for the true ending. So after Mayuri, I easily got the other character's routes except Kurisu. Then, with the help of a guide, I got Kurisu's ending and the true ending right after. I loved to see all story variations, to unlock everything and see that famous true ending! El Psy Kongroo! #videogames#visualnovel

P.S.: Yes, my desktop is really bare right now. I haven't really felt the need to put anything in there since I switched to Linux. Might change that in the future...

I also went looking for new desktop wallpapers today and I found it really hard to find a Steins;Gate one that I liked. A lot of them had Kurisu (or other girls) stare at me sensually...neither well suited for the family PC at home, nor as a background at work. 😬
Also, entirely not what I'm looking for in a wallpaper. 😅
@aceattveg@rakuno@mforester I had to re-read some parts of the true ending to understand the concept behind deceiving the world. There must be something I don't remember from chapter 1 because at the start of the game, he shifts worldlines after sending a d-mail about Kurisu's death. In the true ending, the real him must have seen her dead, as expected, even though she wasn't. He never sent the d-mail. But why, if he thought she was dead the result would have been the same.

One way to see things, might be that he does send the D-Mail, but nothing changed, because Kurisu isn't actually dead. Or does it say that Okabe does not send the D-Mail in the resulting timeline? I thought the whole point was to get things in motion without Kurisu dying. 🤔
And already my brain is starting to hurt...😅
