@sayomgwtf It truly doesn't feel like it has been that long.

I still play stuff on my system today. I started a new game of Fantasy Life a while back since a proper sequel is coming out soon. Actually I'm a bit proud of it. It's not pretty for various reasons, but I have an actual New 3DS. As in not XL/LL. Those were super rare outside of Japan (I had to get mine from a bundle) and for some reason were discontinued quickly in Japan (why???) Small and light and well built. As it should be

@nazokiyoubinbou You know, now that you mention it, I always wondered about the XL ones - and I almost was open to buy one of them if I had the chance. Sadly, never did

I'm happy with my 3DS tho 🥰

@sayomgwtf Well, I can't say about the original 3DS vs XL, but with the N3DS I've used both. Firstly, for some reason the XL/LL is slippery smooth. No clue why, but I hate it. Harder/less comfortable hold and shows oils like mad. Secondly it feels like a softer, cheaper and less durable plastic to me. YMMV, I did not stress test. Finally of course it is heavier (which further adds discomfort.)

Still better than the N2DS though. I can't believe that thing is made by Nintendo.

@sayomgwtf Bear in mind this is all personal opinion. Many people love them. But generally it's solely for the larger screens, not the build.

@nazokiyoubinbou Yeah, that is why I was wondering about them - I thought the larger screen was the biggest thing

But truth be told, I use my 3DS mostly while at the hospital so it is a big deal how the console feels to be honest (more so than the screen size)
