@amxmln last time i used Gnome was on Fedora 34.
How is it now and what made you chose Gnome?
My main complaint was extensions, they always broke after update.
@sorg sadly the extension thing is still true. 😅 But to be honest, I find that I use way less extensions than I used to, just Dash-to-Dock, which gets upgraded pretty quickly, an extension to customise the touchpad gestures and one to round the bottom corners of non-GTK windows for my OCD. I can live without the latter two. 😊
Otherwise, GNOME has the perfect UX for me: really good defaults, dynamic workspaces, a killer overview with a useful search function, and I like how it looks and feels. 😊
@sorg I do use macOS more than Linux these days because of work, but whenever I come back to GNOME, I feel at home. It just works so much better than macOS and I feel less locked in.
I can't understand how people can live without dynamic workspaces. 😅 And it just keeps getting better, smoother and faster with every update. 😊
The biggest problem I have is that my brain is struggling with the different keyboard layouts of Macs and Linux machines. 😅 So sadly, I'm using Linux less and less. 😔
