SheHacksPurple,

If you could wave a magic wand, and "solve" 3 security problems, what would they be? And why?

SecureOwl,

@SheHacksPurple

  1. The unending desire to collect and keep forever all data imaginable on a person. Can’t breach what ain’t there.

  2. All the shadow things. Shadow IT, Drive by provisioning etc. Can’t properly protect what you don’t know is there.

  3. JIRA user interface. No other reason than it would make me happy tbh.

musevg,

@SheHacksPurple

  1. Technical debt
  2. Technical debt
  3. Technical debt

Oh, you meant three different security problems 😄
Well then it's

  1. Technical debt
  2. Organisational debt
  3. Process debt
kkarhan,

@SheHacksPurple

  1. Force people to manage login credentials properly.
  2. Make #TechLiteracy mandatory.
  3. Mandate #OpenStandards that ain't #paywalled unlike [#ISO norms] and only allow #decentralized #MultiVendor & #MultiProvider solutions aka. Ban #CCSS without exceptions.

@SheHacksPurple

Really magic ?

Well ...
1 : get rid of bad guys.
2 : add 100 years of lifetime on every pieces of hardware.

I keep the third in spare.

:flan_cool:

SheHacksPurple,

@formidableinc I like the way you think!

@SheHacksPurple asset inventory & management. because it's a horrible task and essentially nobody can do it with useful levels of precision and coverage.

threat modelling. because things would be a lot easier if people knew how to focus on useful things and less on the hyper-advanced Rube Goldberg stuff that makes them sound like a conspiracy theorist.

memory safety. for obvious reasons.
