@debmcqueen wow! they are such secretive birds. where I grew up in the NWT in the 80s, there was a longstanding reward from fish & wildlife for someone who found a nest!
they are known in quebec as (translated) "the woodcutter's friend" because they were so adept at stealing their lunches 🤣
