Getting really close to the finish line for the next big release of my romhack (AoS Reprise), I'm excited!

Also, if you allow horizontal movement with the Medusa Head soul, this is possible to do, lol. Interested in how much this (and other changes) will affect how players move in this game.

This weekly romhack release is somewhat Thanksgiving themed: Hungry mode! You lose 1 hp a second, but candles and destructibles have a 1/8 chance of dropping Meat Strips.

I'm releasing a patch a week leading up to the holidays for Aria of sorrow! This week includes some fast movement and attack cancel tech. There are also weekly randomizer races using these patches.

Soma chains multiple backdashes together for fast movement and also attacks quickly.

I've been cleaning up code in my romhack (Reprise) leading up to the next big release. But I did take some time to work on an exciting new buff effect for one of the souls! Could make a huge impact on balance and player builds.

Getting into more fun custom balancing changes - I modded the mudman soul to be able to blind enemies temporarily. Really handy against this enemy which you usually have to wait to attack.

The Arachne web soul description says it ensnares enemies, but it only did damage. I buffed it so now it temporarily holds enemies in place, and can stun certain enemies!

Soma uses Arachne web ability, and it stuns a skeleton archer temporarily.

Making a lot of progress on my romhack, took a little bit of time to do some QoL fixes, like fixing the player's hurtbox when doing dive kicks. In the vanilla game, there's a chance you'll get hurt when divekicking, but no more!

Added a new room modifier that alternates the room between light and dark. I'm also testing with making entities dark ( for a shorter period ) as well.

Back to adding more custom effects for weapons! Knives have bonus damage if you backstab enemies.
