I try to learn Golang, just because. To load a go module locally I need to manually update my go.mod file via go mod edit -replace command. Result: replace example.com/greetings => ../greetings. I hate Go already.. I hate it. Don't get me started on enums/unions. Error handling: err != nil ;). Ps. Hello world binary contains debug symbols by default and is 4MB.
I think I stick with C, C++, I even dare to say JS with Bun and whatever not.

Should I really give Go another try?

How difficult it can be to decide which monitor to choose for casual gaming and some other hobby activities? HD is clearly past (unless competitive gaming) and UHD too much for hardware. So QWD is likely a sweetspot. Or ultrawide perhaps? VA, IPS or OLED and g-sync or not. And 144Hz, ,240Hz or what? Are the colors vivid enough…

And no chance to settle for single monitor for work and leisure. Good thing that availability seems ok though.

As a tech enthusiast I'm on my way to buy my first iPhone ever. Before doing this I have two questions.

1. Which iPhone is the best and why? (if you have all the money in the world, what model would you choose now?)

2. What are the things you DON'T like in your iPhone and how are you coping with them?

Please answer only if you prefer iPhone, I don't need "don't buy an iPhone" or "Device X is better" -replies. I've been using two decades other mobile devices so I kinda know the differences.

Olen IT-ammattilainen Muuramesta ja työpäivät kuluu pilviarkkitehtuurien suunnittelun ja totetuksen parissa NordHero:lla.

Urheilua on tullut harrastettua ja kilpailtua useita vuosia, lähinnä kestävyyslajeja mutta nykyisin enimmäkseen pelailen Padelia. Muita harrastuksia on musisointi eri muodoissaan, koiran (2v snautseri-narttu) kanssa metsässä liikkuminen ja lukeminen sekä omakotitaloon liittyvä kaikenlainen puuhastelu.

En varmaan ole kovin aktiivinen postailija. Todennäköisesti jotain ohjelmointiin liittyviä asioita, sekalaisia mieleen tulevia ajatuksi ja koirakuvia tiedossa.
