i dream of a world where the process will cheapen out enough like pcb design, where you can just submit the design you want and they will fab it out for you.

with more players coming into the game because of sanctions, i hope we are now on the path.

Home entertainment with NAS?

Hi! My goal: I want to set up a beamer projector in my flat and connect that to some kind of ‘always on’ machine with which I can stream (currently Netflix a bit but that really is not a priority as I am thinking of cancelling it) but would also like it to be a torrent client (I have a VPN) to download some media. Though...

in addition to servarr, which was already mentioned, you can use Stremio. its similar to popcorntime and a lot simpler than setting up and maintaining servarr.

an RPi’s processing power can handle your use case as long as packages are available for its architecture, it shouldnt be a problem on common usecases.

you can use it to stream games from another machine using sunshine/moonlight too.

Google's "Manifest V2" Chrome extension phaseout next month is expected to impact the original uBlock Origin extension, which still uses the V2 framework and has 37 million users (www.theregister.com)

The new MV3 architecture reflects Google’s avowed desire to make browser extensions more performant, private, and secure. But the internet giant’s attempt to do so has been bitterly contested by makers of privacy-protecting and content-blocking extensions, who have argued that the Chocolate Factory’s new software...

its pretty much ubuntu since i started using linux, with some peppering of other distros i tried out over the years for a few months at a time.

i’m on this perpetual state of kind of wanting to hop because of the usual canonical shenanigans, but like, its working.

my understanding, from the block diagrams they release, is that these io functions are simply integrated into the cpu. in a way that could probably be implemented in desktops too.

umbrella,
@umbrella@lemmy.ml avatar

this makes sense but can’t it be done with integrated chipsets too?

the car industry probably knew the emission standards would get very strict for them.

they should have been developing NEVs all this time but decided to focus on short term gains instead.

fuck capitalism. we have big trouble ahead because of it and companies like this.

so is she fucking good or not? what are her proposals? what is your opinion? give me good context for someone who isnt a mexican and isnt following their elections then.

god, its so hard to know the actual opinions of people about politics on a lib instance.

umbrella,

i literally just asked for someones opinion. why am i a nazi for asking?

some guy came to throw empty implications at me for a question.

and now again instead of starting a conversation you came to start an argument with me because of not wanting to answer, yet you are here full of yourself telling me off with some wall of text.

if you don’t want to talk about the actual topic, you could easily have bothered to say nothing instead.

this thread spawned nothing of value and i’m not gonna bother anymore, thanks.
