Dafuq with calling Yang Guo (杨过) "Penance". I don't care if that is what his name means whatever but you dont have to translate Chinese names like that. I can't take this translation of Jin Yong's book seriously omg 💀
Like, there's this character in Mysterious Lotus Casebook called "Duo Bing", can you imagine if you call him "Always Sick"?? Chinese names don't have to be direct translations omg
I think one reason people don’t have much nostalgia for the 2000s is because people don’t remember it fondly. And the parts that were good weren’t a collective experience.
What were the big events of the 2000s? Well, we had 9/11 at the beginning, and the Great Recession at the end.
Personally, I had fun. I remember trucker hats, garage rock, Wii Sports, LiveJournal, and lots of Hong Kong cinema.
Assuming that jellyfish do not experience desire, suffering, fear, pain, pleasure, happiness, expectations, disappointments and all that (since they do not have brains)…
Does that mean that reincarnating as a jellyfish = nirvana?
people recommended catfish as the go-to fish to breed at home, and was told that there are Indonesian vids on how to do so.
I looked up "bela ikan keli" (breeding catfishes) on YouTube, and found a vid from a Malaysian. I was just so focused on what they (video poster) had to say, and was making mental images of their catfishes everytime they mentioned the catfishes (without showing them).
The moment of truth, they showed how their catfishes looked like AND I WAS SHOCKED BY HOW GRAY, WET, SLIMY THE CATFISHES LOOKED because the WHOLE TIME, I was picturing catfishes as fishes that are dry with a hard head, not slimy, not gray or shiny or wet. In simple terms, I was imagining "Ikan Keli Sambal" and "Ikan Keli Bakar" swimming in their tank the whole time 😭
I never expected myself to be this stupid this whole time. This is a revelation to me as much as it is to y'all.
If people could grow vegetables at home for their own consumption, I wonder if it's (easily) doable to breed fish at home for their own consumption? Curious what fish it'd be that's most efficient to breed i.e. most meat, or multiplies fast, least maintenance, etc.
@rakyat Gliding lizards adapt surprisingly well to human habitation. They like the large gaps between trees that we make. Even in the forest the easiest way to find them is to look for clearings.
