So who on Mastodon is going to join me in posting to the Homecooking group that I created on chirp.social?

I’m trying to create a stream of food posts that will pop up in the home feeds of everyone who is interested and follows @Homecooking (click on the name link and follow on the user screen that pops up). That way we might be able to faster discover new accounts to follow across the divide between instances.

To add a post to the group you need to mention the group in your post by adding @Homecooking to the post in question.

[Users on other Fediverse services are welcome too but so far I had mixed results there. Pixelfed does not seem to work at all, and on Friendica you can only ping the group by using the full https://chirp.social/@Homecooking address in your post and not all posts seem to sent back to my account there.]

Today’s warm meal was the leftover dorai karee from Sunday. With that we had Ginger Sobagaki, a traditional Japanese appetiser made from soba (buckwheat) flour. I decided to roll the dough into little balls and we dipped them into the soy sauce that came with the pack. I did not taste the ginger at all. 🤔 Ah well.

I‘ve been trying to upload iPhone 11 videos to #Pixelfed (specifically pixelfed.social) but I‘m only getting errors. After being told that only certain formats are supported, I used a conversion app to change the format from MOV to MP4, double-checked that the video still works and tried uploading. All I get is the attached error message.
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen at least one video uploaded by someone else, so it should work. Does anybody know anything that could help? Is there a size limit? The Help Center doesn‘t mention anything like that.

Bloß weil man in Hannover wohnt, heißt das nicht, dass die GVH-App die beste App ist, um sich Öffi-Verbindungen in der Umgebung zu suchen. Und die DB-App füllt diese Lücke auch nicht gut aus. Ich bin vor einiger Zeit über die Fahrplaner-App vom Verkehrsverbund Bremen/Niedersachsen gestolpert, die viel mehr kann, aber hier recht unbekannt zu sein scheint. In der App kann man z.B. ein Spar-Ticket kaufen, das nur €6 kostet (eine Fahrt), mit dem man von zuhause bis z.B. irgendwo in Hildesheim fahren kann. Eine Fahrradtageskarte für Züge ist auch zu erwerben, wobei mir nicht ganz klar ist, wo man die genau benötigt.
Wer die GVH-App kennt und länger benutzt, wird auch bemerken, dass die Benutzeroberflächen sehr ähnlich sind, die GVH-App ist nämlich vor nicht allzu langer Zeit dem Fahrplanermodell gefolgt.
