If you ordered a perishable, edible liquid from a grocery store for curbside pickup and you get something with a Sell By date three days in the past, would you do something about it or just live with it?

@rmondello Ask for a replacement. I've often seen curbside pickup getting used for dumping crappy stock like that.

i set up authentik so now i have sso and passkeys for all my self-hosted services, which is very nice, but it comes at great cost*

Finally got a trash can carrier installed on our car so I don't have to lug these up a long steep hill any more. COVID took a not-insignificant hit on lungs so avoiding that weekly haul will be a huge QoL improvement. Carrier is called the Cansporter.

First attempt at using the #Cansporter was a success! The can bottomed out a couple times on the hill, but that's not surprising, our car is a sedan that is not meant for hauling things, so it's fairly low to the ground. There are height adjustments I can make as well for next time. But overall, a huge improvement. (See thread for context)

What an utterly terrible time for the fediverse to be anti-search. It is impossible to find out what's happening in the without having access to a scattered list of journalists and hashtags.

Twitter is unequivocally better at this. And as long as there is no search, it always will be. Even Bluesky has a better experience.

I love fediverse and Mastodon but no search is such an asinine omission and the niche that demands it would be better served by better protection tools, not this.

Releasing the visionOS SDK right before Final Fantasy 16 comes out is an attack on me personally.

@whack Interestingly I've found I enjoyed FFXIII a lot more in retrospect than I did at the time. It is sort of the anti "modern game design". In an era when most games are big empty open worlds with a ton of boring side quests and grindy loot loops, 13 feels nice for being hyper linear and lore rich. It's still got problems but time has been kinder to it than I was at launch.
