@w7voa MDMA is ten years of therapy in a single pill. Nothing has been as transformative in my life as the few ecstasy doses I took in the 90s. In a controlled environment monitored by a professional, the risk is nearly nonexistent. It's a shame that such a beneficial drug is being kept away from suffering patients by a bunch of ideologically-motivated gatekeepers who never had any intention of objectively evaluating the science.
Shitty IT work really pisses me off. My bank launched a new mobile app and website, and it's a total shit-show. They simultaneously deactivated the old system, and my existing credentials no longer work. Their process for creating an account on the new system also doesn't work. This leaves me completely cut off, and unable to access my account. Now, I gotta go to the bank tomorrow and waste 2 hours getting this issue resolved. This is not how professionals handle a roll-out. It's amateur hour.
@trabex It's actually a great bank; a local credit union that I've been with for a decade, and have been very happy with. They just really dropped the ball on this roll-out, and managed it very poorly. At the least, they should have maintained the old system for a period of time, ensuring a good transition, before pulling the plug. Problems are inevitable, but they should have planned for them.
I would have preferred to address our issues at the border through bipartisan legislation because that’s the only way to actually fix our broken system –
But Republicans in Congress have left me no choice.
So today, I’m announcing actions that bar migrants who cross our southern border unlawfully from receiving asylum – unless they seek it after entering through established lawful processes.

@br00t4c Cannabis poisoning? WTF is that? I've consumed absolutely legendary quantities of cannabis in my day, and the most extreme effect is an inability to walk and successfully exist in public. The notion of cannabis poisoning is nonsensical to me, and sounds like something the Reefer Madness crowd would make up.
@claralistensprechen3rd@br00t4c That's simply not true. The average THC content is higher now, but the amount required to even begin to be a danger is absolutely massive. Something like the equivalent of smoking 5lbs in under 15 minutes. As in the past, you would pass out long before you could consume quantities of THC that could be dangerous. That line about how much stronger it is today is an irrelevancy that's being pushed by anti-weed propagandists.
