I've been using, and paying for a #Tutanota email for over 3 years now. And I think I'm going to give it up.
After 3 years, it's still not possible to use OpenPGP, I have to use a dodgy system and give a password to everyone I want to email who doesn't use Tutanota.
Searching for emails is a pain, a real pain.
It is not possible to use any client other than Tutanota.
I came from #ProtonMail, and changed because their commercial com. became too aggressive for my taste. I may reconsider...
@leighelse I don't want to pay more than 24EUR/year for a mail service. I selfhost everything, but email is something I don't want to. I'll take a look at zoho, thanks!
@itsfoss "Ubuntu rose to popularity because it made Linux simpler for the end user. 'Linux for human beings' was its motto. I don't see this motto mentioned anywhere now. I wonder if that too is deliberate."
La vertiginosa progressió del temps necessari per obtenir un password per força bruta, provant combinacions.
Important activar l'autenticació de doble factor, passkey, parell de claus públic/privat... deixar de confiar només en el vell sistema d'usuari i clau.
I'm getting back to my project of trying to make social graphs from an account on the Fediverse. Gosh, with a depth of level 3 (followers of followers of my followers) you don't realise how many accounts you're linked to! The script hasn't finished running and there are already more than 210,000 accounts in my case.
Look at this, scraping followers and following with a depth level of 2 of one notorious Fediverse user, I can get who I am following and who is following me, even if that is hidden from my profile.
With a little bit of time, with this, I can basically get followers and following of any Fediverse private account.
For this not to work, the two accounts having a relationship must respond to one or both of these conditions at the same time: the account must be private, the followers and following hidden.
