I'd like to remind all Mastodon users that you can add a language filter to any follow relationship on Mastodon.

If you follow me and you don't speak German, you can easily remove my German posts from your timeline by adjusting the language settings.

Go to my profile page, select the dot menu and click "Change subscribed languages". Then select the languages that you speak.

This really is a hidden gem 💎 on Mastodon and not many people seem to know this feature :awesome:

Oh, Windows, nur du kannst mir meinen Workflow mit idiotischen, kleinen Problemen richtig schön kaputt machen. Weil ich die SD-Karte meiner Kamera heut früh noch stecken hatte, ist die Wechselfestplatte plötzlich Laufwerk G statt F und wird nicht mehr im Netz freigegeben. Yay, einen Haufen Skripte mal wieder umschreiben...

AFAIR gibt's aber eine Möglichkeit, (NTFS-?)Drives via Namen oder UUID (anstatt LW-Buchstaben) einzubinden und damit hättest du einen fixen Pfad und keinen fragilen. HTH

I was looking for a Markdown note-taking app. Requirements:
– Operating systems: macOS, iOS, Linux, Android
– I don’t want to pay too much (<$5/month)

Candidates:

I’m currently trying out Joplin:
– Free sync via Dropbox—which is a bit slow. I may eventually switch to Joplin Cloud ($2.40/month).
– Relatively simple UI—which is exactly what I want. Obsidian has many features I don’t need.

If not that, at least logseq.

Don't use their unstable sync plan. Stick with Synching and be happy.

@jhleighhunt Ich habe beim Führerschein gelernt, dass man in solchen Situationen langsamer werden muss, damit sich der Bremsweg verkleinert, der durch den geringen Abstand zum Hinterwagen kritisch wird.

Ich fahre morgen nach Berlin zur #rp24 und denke gerade darüber nach was ich dort machen möchte beziehungsweise worauf ich keine Lust habe. Ich möchte vor allem Menschen treffen. Also euch.

Dieses Jahr halte ich keinen Vortrag. Das habe ich schonmal vorletztes Jahr ausprobiert und fand es insgesamt entspannter. Zugleich sorgen Vorträge dafür, dass Menschen mich zum jeweiligen Thema ansprechen, was mir so viel leichter fällt als Smalltalk. Angesprochen werden nimmt mir den Druck Personen ansprechen zu müssen, aber ich verliere zu einem Teil die Möglichkeit zu wählen mit wem ich mich unterhalte.

Erzählt mir von euren Spezialinteressen. Da sind mir die Themen weniger wichtig, sondern wie begeistert ihr davon seid. Selbst wenn ich es nicht bin.

Ich bin an Erfahrungsaustausch rund um Autismus, ADHS, Nichtbinärität, Therapie, Beziehungen, Freundschaft und Sorgearbeit interessiert.

Weitere Themen sind Forschungsdatenmanagement, Mitgefühl im Web, Wissenschaftskommunikation, Datenjournalismus und Genossenschaften.

Bloggen und/oder Verarbeiten und Verstehen durch Schreiben geht auch immer.

Wenn ihr mit nichts davon etwas anfangen könnt, aber trotzdem mit mir sprechen möchtet, fragt mich, was mit dem Nationalpark Egge los ist. Oder dem Followfinder.

Im Zweifel lieber ein “Hallo” und gegenseitiges Anstarren als aus der Entfernung beobachten. Für mehr Awkwardness und weniger Grübeln.

Beim 37C3 war's glaube ich so bei gefühlten 2-5%. Und das im Winter. Jetzt ist wenigstens die Keim-arm Zeit ...

Nebenbei: auch meine Hausärztin ist Teil der Fraktion "keine Masken mehr", damit wir wieder unser Immunsystem trainieren. Im Kontrast zu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shpFs9vYMeM&pp=ygULc2hwRnM5dllNZU0%3D wo ExpertInnen explizit sagen, dass es dieses Training in der Form nicht extra braucht.

Als ich das von #Microsoft #Recall zum ersten mal gelesen habe, habe ich mich gefragt, ob das ein verspäteter Aprilscherz sein soll? Mal ehrlich, das kann doch hier bei uns nicht mit geltendem Recht vereinbar sein, oder? Oder glaubt wirklich irgendjemand, dass Mickisoft sich diese Daten nicht krallt?
Gut, rein privat ist mir das egal, da ich seit 18 Jahren nur noch #Linux einsetze. Aber leider bin ich auf dem beruflichen Laptop meines Arbeitgebers gezwungen, Microsoft #Windows zu nutzen. Und somit bin ich automatisch in dem Spinnennetz dieses Unternehmens gefangen. Wobei ich mich ja echt frage, wie ein Arbeitgeber jetzt überhaupt noch in der Lage sein kann Windows auf seinen Rechnern und Servern zu nutzen. Da bin ich wirklich gespannt, ob da der eine oder andere Arbeitgeber einen Wechsel durchführen wird. Oder ob dies auch im privaten Bereich den Linux Desktop zu einem weiteren Aufschwung führen wird.
Aber vermutlich eher nicht. Oder bin ich da zu pessimistisch?
