This is a big reason I find demands that users upgrade to the latest release to be unrealistic, and why companies need to support more versions than “latest minus one” or “current release minus 6 months” or whatever.

Reminds me of current problems with Sonos or Tandem.

@Myndex @aardrian I'm sorry, I understand your users needs being a blind screen reader user myself, but it's just not how programming and viability works. Being a software engineer, I can tell you that it's beyond frustrating and burnout-prone to work constantly on something old without any possibilities to implement new features. And if we support a zillion older versions, we don't have time to progress. And also, USB-C standardization is one of the most important steps in modern technology. Need to have Mini-USB, Micro-USB, Lightning, USB type B and some proprietary cables really drives me nuts.

@seedy @sasquatch I prefer built-in OpenSSH over PuTTY. Also, I had deep troubles with porting GPG keys to another Windows machine, so for me SSH keys are the only solution whenever possible (thank gods now it's possible to sign Git commits with them).

@podcast From the accessibility perspective, it's… kinda meh because it's a UWP app. I didn't install the last version though, just evaluated alternatives to File Explorer some time ago.

@crazydutchy Speaking of Dutch songs, I really like De Diepte by S10. I mean, really. But for me it's also very often like this. For some reason (you can start hating me here), I found the so-called song from Ireland this year the most awful and disgusting thing I've heard in many years. Again, the keywords here are "heard" and "song". I acknowledge the video performance, although it's also not my style, so… you got it.

@davew A podcast must have an RSS feed, by definition. To me, if you are on Apple Podcasts but you don't publish your RSS for me to subscribe… bye-bye, I'll search for something else.

I finally got a response from #Sonos where they're continuing to make the assertion that their new app has "basic support" for screen readers. We need to keep pushing back as this statement is just plainly false and seems to represent a dishonest way of trying to make the issue seem less terrible to the rest of the world while their disabled customers continue to suffer. #accessibility

Unpopular opinion: Bulgaria and Hungary need to return to #eurovision that's it, that's the post of today. Since I've been watching wayy too many videos. Both had good songs. Not sure how many people do or don't know this so I'll put it out there. In most messaging apps I've used anyway, if you're in the message edit field, pressing enter will send the message. But if you instead want to put in a line break, hitting shift enter usually works. Of course if you want to be certain, test it in your app(s) of choice before doing it for real.

@musicalman It is so in good apps. In better apps there is a setting that allows you to press Enter for new line and to send with Ctrl+Enter, as it was in the days of yore.
