@riversidebryan aw gosh Mastodon is like a baby in kindergarten in comparison. I'm a power User. I follow hundreds of people using lists, classified by subject.

And I don't even need to follow them to... Follow them. In Mastodon that's not possible.

Then antennas are the reason I don't need anymore to have multiple accounts in several places.

But then again I imagine the room to breath compare to you, I'm in a single-User instance where I chose how much RAM and processing power to add. And is all mine.

That's makes a big difference. But I can tell you, same expect with Mastodon. Crashes all the time. Calckey is very optimised

I want to finish this course ASAP and start putting it all in practice to get a client YESTERDAY.

Even the simplest 5 hours per week 20€ per hour client would delay poverty faaaaaaaaaar faaaaaaaar away. My economy is so optimised I can do wonders with 400 a month.

And that's just one, ideally I want to offer packages, those packages give you exclusivity. The bigger the package the more hours you get so

5 hours per week
10 hours per week
15 hours per week.
20 hours per week.

Those are the five packages I want to offer. Standard price 20€ per hour. The moment I reach 40 hour a week total, I'm closed for new clients.

The product is Full Stack Engineering and Cloud Creation/Maintenance such as:

  • I can design your app, website, program, whatever....if it can be done in Python/JS/TypeScript/Java/Rust I can get it done.
  • I can create and maintain the computer infrastructure on any cloud provider of your choice, if I don't know it, they are all the same stuff, I can learn it (@dch knows very well how quickly I can do that).
  • I can provide 24/7 alerting system (this could be a product on itself).
  • I can do system administration and updatin gweekly of your any system, from decomposing your sad outdated Wordpress setup and fix each one of the lines of code that makes it not compatible with the latest and greatest PHP/Apache/NGINX to use the latest version with less bugs....to rewrite your Django/Flask/Next/Astro/Express/Sprint (yeah I also know Sprint & Hibernate, my first language was Java at uni, I just hate it because everything has to be OOP and is too verbose for no reason) web application to use the latest stuff.

I mean....I can do so much stuff I have trouble enumerating all the stuff I know how to do.

@riversidebryan I don't have trouble seeing my own profile but this morning I had a blank profile same as your screenshot when I was trying to see the profile of @nanode as I had a follow request. Ended up clicking "see from remote server". Now I can see it but no idea what caused the glitch. I think @kainoa might have run out of batteries. We need Duracell to sponsor them.

@nanode @riversidebryan if you're self hosting it still needs the patrons thing. That's built in the code. Of course you can change the code and built it, but it is there. Which is the bit I find annoying. Why does my instance need to be broken because a stupid unneeded feature that shows who's a patron.

My instance has already modified some code to avoid the search pattern that shows when you use
Search something [search]
Because otherwise it defaults to some ridiculous thing instead of a trusted enough search engine. So I might just edit the code and remove that feature altogether.

Patrons should be a thing of patrons for the instance.

BUT IT IS NOT, we have a feature that says who's a Patron of Calckey, the software, for no reason. Why would I need in my instance to know who's a calckey patron? What's so important about it to have to deploy it on EVERY Calckey instance in a way that's so F-up that Codeberg going down make all profiles be shown in blank.

It's ridiculous. Edit it away from your instance code, you already know where is the portion of the code that affects it. Let alone it slows down loading profiles.

New flat, new gym. There are four of the same chain in the same city. So moving is never an issue. I can use them all with the same key.

Enjoy the #postworkoutpictures remember if you're in vanilla Mastodon UI you won't see it either the pics or the video. But from Fedilab no trouble at all.

@sarajw yeah I don't know why but Mastodon doesn't allow to mix types of media. If you put a video doesn't show the pics. Also if you upload more than 4 pics it only shows the first four.

If you use any 3rd party client it shows them all.

When do people use the different privacy options? Public, unlisted, followers only, mentions only?

Or, what about local only? I think that's a HajKey extension.

@ada @tallgirlvanessa I'd like to add to Ada's perfect explanation that:

  • Unlisted can be driven or even trend, it might not show in the federated timeline nor in the local timeline but it'll show every time any of your follower boost it on every follower they have's home timeline.

  • Local only is a Calckey-wide feature, not just HajKey.

I tend to use public, because the fediverse is still tiny. The moment this become or appears to become a standard, I might go for unlisted. Been there. Liked it. But hashtag search doesn't work properly (on mastodon) unless public.

One of the very bad things of working out is how hard is to find someone to talk about it. Every single person you explain about it considers you're judging their lack of exercising, you can say:

I like doing it because it allows me to eat more of the stuff I normally can't. The lower my body fat, the least triggering gluten, sugar and milk are for my hidradenitis.

They hear:> you're a lazy fat fuck, why aren't you working out?

And you know that's what they hear because instead of understanding what you just clearly explained they assume THEIR insecurities about THEIR body image are yours and continue with> but you look good body, I don't think you need any more muscles...

You> I never said I needed them or that I weren't satisfied with my image...

Them:> I don't because..... [insert here excuse for why they don't exercise, excuse you never asked, because this isn't a competition]

Stop assuming I'm shallow and give a fuck about your body. I don't even give a fuck about mine, I only care about avoiding the multiple painful cysts on armpits and groin area. PREVENTION. Your insecurities led you to hear nothing of what I just said.

I'm fascinated by the fact someone would put £30 on my account (it's Revolut so it doesn't matter what currency, whatever is put on there I can use instantly) and order me to buy groceries.

The fascination is multifaceted:

  1. Where did they get my account? I'm sure I've given it a thousand times but today wasn't one.
  2. Who was it? I see a surname and initial but I can't map with that who, at least not from my phone while walking.
  3. Is someone who doesn't usually click "like" on what it said or I would have known instantly who was it.
  4. Why? I mean. Sure it's put a BIG FAT smile on my face and lead me to treat myself to ice cream and delayed the horror but...i didn't ask. Not that I'm complaining, on the contrary, I'm very thankful. I confess I spend half the day today thinking about the 4.90 I was robbed from this morning for an awful breakfast. When you don't have an income every expense is triple the stress
    But why?

The fascination is mainly my inner jobseeker thinking "what if there's something to tap in here that coupe speed up getting an actual JOB instead. A long-term solution".
