I'm refactoring the MultiMarkdown parser to clarify the jobs of each component, and to not create and work with objects in invalid states (which I only recently thought more about).

The Diagrams.app is great to quickly create visualizations and play with them. I love it.

This kind of visualization is also almost at the limits of what I can express in the diagrams there, though, because each shape can't have more than 4 connections without getting confusing. Legacy code doesn't fit :)

@ctietze Yep, that's a downside of the current implementation. While I'd like to add support for anchors at all grid points, it'd mean a significant rewrite of the routing component, which I can't justify at the moment.

I recently ran into a typical "100% unit tests, 0% integration tests" situation.

Did foam cutouts for some hand tools and a screwdriver.

Turns out I cannot open the box at the top because I didn't account for the outer wall of the container!

Gah!!

@ctietze That’s unfortunate but nevertheless still a greatly organized toolbox! I’ve been also looking into organizing my tools and considered Kaizen foam. Did you get it as part of the case or separately? Do you have any recommendations?

@ctietze Thanks for sharing! These links will come in handy when I truly kick off the tool organization project. While the foam really looks cool, I see the downside that it’s not very modular and hard to adjust for new tools/needs. Not sure yet whether I’ll go down the foam route.

Happy Monday! Black Ink Crosswords for iOS is out! After nearly 16 years of painstakingly slow development, I'm happy to share what I think is the absolute best touch-based interface for solving crossword puzzles. Enjoy! https://redsweater.com/blog/4051/black-ink-for-ios-available-now

@danielpunkass Huge congrats! I’ve been following your journey on Core Intuition and I’m so happy for you that the iOS version is finally out. Hope it’ll work out business-wise, too. 🙌

Can’t wait to hear more about the launch in a future podcast episode. 🤞

#SwiftUI leaks in #iOS 17. It affects sheet and fullScreenCover presentation. It's a known issue and as a workaround, you can use bridge to #UIKit.

@ctietze @tomas I've also been asking myself that question lately, but it still seems easier to me to work around these bugs than to build everything in UIKit.

@ctietze @tomas I mean, sure, it’s not ideal, but I guess that’s the nature of working with a rapidly evolving framework like SwiftUI.

Just arrived in Frankfurt for the first #Macoun in four years! 🙌

@fhe and I will meet for dinner between 6pm and 7pm at Depot 1899. Is anyone already around and up for joining us?

I’ve finally made it over! Going through the list of people I followed and setting up Mastodon reminded me of the early days on Twitter. Felt very nostalgic. Here’s to a new chapter of tooting!
