90's completely out of style goatskin fleece flight jacket a la thrift store always unsold here, over a v-neck shirt and fake dogtags, apparently to be "masculine". It was NOT flattering, it was a cut that split to emphasize his strangely ballooned stomach. It's as if he is such a petulant manchild that he would never consider a fashion consultant despite all that money. Because he is.

Had the strangest dream that would be a movie thing, invited to this giant AR/VR venue that promised you could walk around with other people and it would track them all and you’d all be in a shared space.

It was, it was like a mall in its glory days and then some, towering fountains, bright lights, live music, everything polished marble and crystal and hologram sculptures, an impossible sky of galaxies through windows a thousand feet high. Everyone else in there, real or virtual, was in exotic fashions and flawless. Get a coffee and it would be placed on the counter and you could take it and really drink it.

But if you took off the glasses, which you were not supposed to do, it was actually a dead mall with a low ceiling and dim harsh LED lights here and there on a stained roof, far fewer actual people and those mostly dressed in drab clothing, talking to nothing, fountains all dry, floor dirty cracked tile, and even the coffee stand, when you “got your cup set down” by a smiling barista, was just a robot arm that filled it from a spigot. The actual coffee place looked to have been closed for years.
