Someone could design a SaaS to accomplish this. Give privileged creds to SaaS which issues per-app service creds to clients and escalate permissions either automatically or via approvals.

@enobacon Are there are lot of compatibility issues with accessories like these? Happy to add them. But I suspect many of these are designed to fit multiple specs. Examples would be great.

This isn’t scientific but did surprise me.

I’ve always been open about problems in Mastodon community and the retention issues here.

I installed X yesterday and set my feed to Following, and had Ivory (Mastodon) open too. I follow a few hundred more people on X than here.

So today I reopened both and scrolled through my feed from the same time point.

Just over 4 times more toots here than tweets. More InfoSec content, too.

@GossiTheDog shouldn't be surprised that infosec is less active on X. Just look at their response to the I-Soon leaks.

"AFK" isn't the kinda response from an organization that should inspire confidence when addressing news that your MFA is compromised by state-affiliated hackers.

This story makes me happy. Though the growing maturity of many linux distros is obviously a factor, I am convinced that Valves SteamOS makes up a significant portion of the 1% gain in the past 8 months.

Been working on my side project, Bike Builder, to make finding replacement parts for bicycles easier.

While searching for a replacement crankset, I looked for a PC Part Picker equivalent for bikes to not only find that it doesn't exist, but they themselves attempted and failed.

Decided to make it myself. WIll provide progress updates here for free publicity and get feedback.

@EposVox depends on your goals. If you wanna save money, I definitely recommend EmailOctopus with AWS SES. Dirt cheap MailChimp clone.

But if you want something closer to a Substack, you could try buttondown.email.
