Good morning, and welcome to Enshittification Tuesday. We've got quite a selection for your perusal today, and shockingly it isn't all related to AI.

We've got:

  • Microsoft adds AI spyware at the OS level

  • iTerm2 adds AI spyware at the Terminal level

  • FireTV interface has been sneakily tweaked to automatically subscribe users to new services when downloading certain apps (yes, there's a confirmation screen, but blink and you'll miss it & might get double-subscribed)

Ran a database query at work to investigate a hunch, and forgot about it.

And, an hour and 19 minutes later ... the hunch played out, but much less severely than I had anticipated. Most curious. Yay results!

So, what's the recommended way to transport a fast food order for a family of four by bike?

I mean, my bike has a basket, so that's an easy solve for the food part. But the drinks! What's the recommended way to bike with four large sodas?

I'm tempted to learn basic CAD and 3D print some kind of 4x wide cupholder to hang from the front of the basket. Or two 2x holders to hang from each side.

Joe Biden allowed the US government to exercise a variation of eminent domain to try and seize TikTok from a foreign power.
