Wow, meanwhile hugo seems to have defeated Go's fanatical commitment to compatibility. I cannot build the version I was using, because one of the dependencies tries to use cgo, and afaict was using it in one of the ways that was UB and became forbidden at some point. Sigh.

I’m doing a 150km, two-transfer bike & train trip. I’m half way in, AMA. #BikeOnTrain

First one is a freebie: the first and last ~10km of each end of the trip are not covered by busses in any useful fashion and I didn’t wanna rely on cabs or other cars, that’s why I’m taking the bike.

Trying to wrap my head around how io_uring rust bindings work, and current status is I'm not convinced they do? Which means I'm missing something, probably/hopefully.

io_uring's entire deal is shared memory with careful (but unchecked) handoff of ownership between userspace and the kernel. That means that the contents of pointed-to memory changes without compiler involvement, and... not sure how/why that ends up sound.
