What does everyone use to dock their #steamdeck - the official dock or a cheaper third party USB C hub? I’m looking to get one and if I can get a cheaper alternative all the better. Then I’ll connect my #stadia controller to get some more use out of that...
In other Deck news, Balatro really is as good as you may have heard #GOTY
Even with Google's algorithm changes and AI taking over, we are proud to still be independent, even if it's significantly harder. In the end, we are surviving, and it's all thanks to you:
What games are you going to play during this upcoming weekend? What are those games that make you watering your mouth, Homer style, while thinking about playing them in the next few days?
MS: "Hello Alex, my dearest friend, would you like to update the firmware of your XBOX Wireless controller?"
Alex: "Gee, thanks MS! How do I update the firmware?!"
MS: "Install Windows 11 and connect it with USB, open up the XBOX app"
Alex: "Go eff down in flames"
@thegamerstavern I'm bit late for this post. I got into the story of Fallout 3 and can't let it down. Actually playing it on my Steam Deck with no mods. Run well so far. I suspect that be my main game for the weekend. Have nice gaming weekend everyone!
I decided to take a break from Ori and the blind forest as the difficulty is growing exponentially and getting more and more frustrating. Metroidvania, I know, I know, but...
Started playing Fallout 4 and to be honest I'm not seeing any issue with the next gen update, except the screen getting brighter during dialogs. I don't know if it's a setting or something, but it's kinda annoying. Nothing that would make me stop playing though
@thegamerstavern This is the way with Ori. Have breaks, get back to it later ( or just don't ) to find yourself easily passing through the obstacles. I found myself in a similar situation right now and decided to let it rest for a few days.
All these news about Fallout 4 new patch, just pushing me even more to play it. I got also Fallout 3 installed. What should I play? First world word problems
@thegamerstavern I will be playing #Skyrim one more time....after all these years. The endless story 😆 . I also feel tempted to give it a go to #fallout4 on the Steam Deck to see what this latest next-gen patch brings up. If time after that, maybe will continue with #oriwillofthewisps as my chill game. Have a good gaming weekend everyone #GamesFTW
Ok, moving on to slightly lighter topics, today is also #Fallout4 Next-Gen patch day!
And if I recall correctly, the game should get verified for #SteamDeck - this whole verification thing is always a puzzle to me, it could mean everything.
@thegamerstavern@Sobtanian I'm bit hyped for this update. Let's hope for the best but for sure will break some of the existing mods out there. I never played Fallout 4 so not big deal for me
Ever play a game and absolutely love it, but for whatever reason you take a break from it for a couple of days, and then you struggle to get back into it? Happened to me with Unicorn Overlord. I just can't be arsed any more it seems.
I put it on now and within 5 minutes I want to turn it off and play something else. No idea why but I'm just not digging it. I was loving it before!
@COMPU73E This also happens to me with very big titles ( Witcher 3, Baldurs gate ect ). I have lot of fun playing them but like most of the things in life, self pace is the key. You need breaks from them to get back with more energy or just don't get back.
One game I keep doing that along the years is Skyrim – play it for few weeks, stop for months, come back and play again for few weeks. That game managed to keep me back despite its years.
@EighthLayer@thegamerstavern that Fallout London mod looks awesome. I could recognised the places on the video I've seen not while ago. I think is worth it the wait, it can only look better with the new updates.
