@gekidasa incidentally, I used to 😂 I'm from the geocities/angelfire era, which probably shows my age. Can't say I'm particularly enthused about getting back to that, but it's a legitimate backup plan.

@gekidasa I think someone has already pointed out engagement, which was the main problem with that era, imo...individual sites were hard to find, or at least you had to know what you were looking for, or for that matter, look for them at all. As a reader, having everything in one place makes it more likely that I'll find and read something I didn't go looking for, so it broadens readership (and thus engagement) overall.
