beeng,

Which should be known as a “cracker”, but yeah mainstream media fucked the word “hacker” to mean something it doesn’t.

beeng,

Command prompt is CMD and batch script, Powershell is Pwsh and .ps1, then bash is .sh.

You’ve confused a few things here…

FYI, open a powershell terminal separately, to the path of your script (powershell in file Explorer path) and run your script.

Do rest of Work in Vscode

Done.

beeng,

You use Linux to run Ansible to run ps1 on Windows, exactly how it’s meant to be used!

Another question, why can’t you write the compile script in bash?

ChatGPT would make pretty short work of the conversion.

beeng, (edited )

Env variable that problem away if it’s from software you don’t control, then fix your shit from where you do.

Every Friday or Saturday.

Wahl Lithium close clippers first, then Braun Series 7 electric foil and cutter shaver.

Maybe 5-10mins tops, ok for once a week.

Foil leaves a very smooth finish, even dry, but can be used wet if needed.

UE mini boom Bluetooth speaker

I was looking at my little speaker the other day and thinking to myself about how well it has done. My husband bought it for me about 10 years ago when we were just dating and had moved halfway across the world together with little money. It seemed like a big splurge at the time and we were using it to watch tv shows on our...

Home entertainment with NAS?

Hi! My goal: I want to set up a beamer projector in my flat and connect that to some kind of ‘always on’ machine with which I can stream (currently Netflix a bit but that really is not a priority as I am thinking of cancelling it) but would also like it to be a torrent client (I have a VPN) to download some media. Though...

I do this and just run Ubuntu on a Thinkcenter tiny.

Then this for input off the sofa.

I also put a few Braille dots on few buttons and glow in the dark paint on a few important dots to make it more usable which really works, Braille especially.

Then… A few bookmarks in the firefox, jellyfin, navidrome, Spotify, vlc/MPV from mounted NAS etc.

I don’t bother with any media/apps interface, I mostly see them as annoying and not needed with this KB/trackball setup.

Then…Bob’s your uncle!

beeng,

Looks like USB C to a pogo pin / magsafe type connector

beeng,

If less keys is better may depend on if it’s mac or not (apparently).

Could be lack of customisation available on Mac? (guess only)

beeng,

If all your websites are bloat or large, not much Mozilla can do…

beeng,

VLC for the everyday person, all the way until you get to enthusiast class, then you use MPV.

Shortcuts, lightweight, CLI etc…

beeng,

Save the ewaste and buy a new battery?

Could it be the quality of the cells thay made it cheap and not the efficiency of the motor?

beeng,

You can’t get to it at all?

Any suggestions for cheap but decent laptops for coding?

I’m currently learning how to code (currently Python, then maybe JavaScript), but I’m not always around my desktop, and learning on my phone is not always an option (also, it can be quite cumbersome at times). Therefore, I’m looking into purchasing a laptop just for learning how to code and stuff....

beeng,

Some reason I have Chromebook Lenovo Thinka Pad 11e saved in my notes

Iirc it’s something that isn’t too difficult to unlock and get Linux on it, otherwise I wouldn’t have considered it.

beeng,

Admittedly I’ve never done it, but my 5mins of LLM’ing said chroot is only needed when keeping chromeOS on the machine side by side.

beeng,

Exactly

beeng,

Yes you pay the 10c on top as it’s your duty as the buyer to then bring it back for your 10c.

It works in Germany the same way.

beeng,

Local tests are less shameful. Imagine if you had a Red X online for every compiler or syntax error whilst developing.

So it is.

beeng,

Really? LOL

I’m on Windows for work but I login to a Linux box to do any work within the first five minutes
