Thinking of building a web page that I can permanently put as โ€œstatusโ€ to indicate that I prefer email โ€” like https://nohello.net but actually saying I prefer email for anything that doesnโ€™t require immediate attention and/or has multiple topics and/or things we need to be searchable and/or shouldnโ€™t be buried under other fleeting topics

@cory streaming services turned out bad for the art, artists, and consumers. I heard music labels were already predatory before them, but streaming made it even worse

@cory yeah indie is the way to go, I think. In the Philippines we have some artists who came together to start their own publisher/label names. They donโ€™t have the capital for marketing as other big labels but at least they get most for what they produce.

I now understand the push to have this on browsers instead of each site & app enforcing a custom dark mode

  • of course it would be good to have sites & apps be able to override it, but having the base experience on the browser would be good (for devs & users)
