So, in theory, I'll be able to come back to Jerusalem (from Armenia I was forced to go in March) around 15 of June. But when this week, when the conclusion of my aliyah after 1,5 years of burocracy hell is almost palpable, I became too unstable to perform the last bits needed.

Some kind of moral support will be very appreciated. Thank you.

Genrikh Sapgir (1928–1999)

•••
I know you by heart, and yet —
I don't know you — discovering anew every time
hair — by my lips, lips — by my tongue —
and moving within you, I learn your pupils
contracting in an unfamiliar way...
every fibre of me wants to know every fibre of you
is it as joyous and thankful for you as it is for me
becoming you and collapsing —
that's what the Bible meant: he knew her!

A friend of mine asked me to traslate several of Sapgir's poems to English to quote in her thesis. This is my first attempt.

In other news, my poetry collection (two books in one binding) is finally out! It is in Russian (unfortunately, in some sense) and consists of texts, written between 2004 and 2016.

It is currently available in Moscow, Yerevan, and Tbilisi, and will come to Israel a bit later.

At the presentation in Yerevan as asked something along the lines "how do you feel to be so weird?", event in Jerusalem — sometime in June, most likely.

I believe I am long due an update regarding my situation.

For the last two months I'm living in Yerevan (I owe Fediverse too many photos!)

I had to move out of Israel till the trial concluded.
Now, the court had concluded that I'm indeed son of my father.

That means that I could go back to Jerusalem quite soon, I hope. (01/02)

Had a peculiar occurrence today. I met one of those perennial beggars from Mahane Yehuda in an unusual place, far from the shuk — probably near her house. She caught my friendly glance and, as a true pro, immediately started asking for money. I decided that today was the day to fulfil the mitzvah and reached for the wallet... (01/04)

For instance, in some recent post in a Russian-speaking FB-community people complained, "WHY THE VARIETY OF PRODUCTS IN ISRAELI SHOPS IS SO LOW?" Meanwhile, I'm studying the assortment of one local vegetable delivery: ELEVEN distinctly different varieties of potatoes, et c.

Looking at the variety alone, it's not just that I want to become a citizen as soon as possible, I want to marry Israel. And then take some cooking classes to learn how to handle unfamiliar vegetables.
