Read this, then lost 1.5 hours in a rabbit hole of comments.

The comments have given me a different perspective.

For so many folks, who were here years before Twitter imploded, it's a hostile takeover of their homeland.

Those of us who arrived from the wreckage, well we're the Americans in that homeland. Taking and demanding.

I seriously want to take a moment to give thanks to #Mastodon and apologize to the homelands.

I've also had the same experience, but in reading all of the comments on the Mastodon post, I realized just how unhappy many are. I've also noticed many posts of turmoil within lately.
It's the age-old problem of civilization.

Fun fact...

Back in the day (of dinosaurs), kids celebrated May Day.

We would weave construction paper into baskets or cones and fill it with treats and flowers.

We would then hang them on the doors of friends and family, knock, yell, "May basket!" and run away.

Sweetly simpler times.
