Chaos auf einem österreichischen Schloss? Jo! Håck ma's!!

Es gibt ein Schloss mit großartiger Atmosphäre und riesigem Innenhof. Dort hat sich ein magischer Riss durch Raum und Zeit geöffnet. Hier treffen Håcker*innen und Magie aufeinander. Dadurch verschwimmen die Grenzen zwischen Drinnen und Draußen, Camp und BarCamp, Hackathon und Slackathon.

Am 14. Februar 2005, vor 19 Jahren, gründeten drei Ex-Paypal Leute, Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, und Jawed Karim die Firma Youtube.

Man zeigte briefmarkengroße Videos über das Internet in einem Flashplayer an.

Die Idee wurde schnell populär und schon 1.5 Jahre später wurde Youtube von Google aufgekauft, für schmale 1650 Mio USD.

Youtube ist mit der Suche, Gmail und Office einer der wenigen Dienste, die nicht nach einigen Jahren eingestellt wurden.

#NoAfD verbieten, jetzt! Das wird nicht das rechte Riesenproblem in #Deutschland lösen, aber es wird den Rechten eine ihrer größten Geldquellen und eine ihrer größten Bühnen nehmen!

Was systematisch gegen #Rechts hilft und immer geholfen hat, war nie Annäherung oder Dialog, sondern klare Kante, immer. Das zeigt die Geschichte und auch alle Aussteigerprojekte. Für die Demokratie müssten wir kämpfen, jetzt!

I'm truly disgusted by Sweden abstain vote. It's truly sad to see the country that used to be a model for peace, human rights and humanity turn into a coward with no respect for any of those.

I am torn between on one hand my usual attitude of not recommending any technology for communication of sensitive data as they usually all suck, and mostly depend on golden-prison user-hostile environments like Android or iOS;

and on the other hand my enthusiasm for the underlying principles of Simplex.chat as a young piece of software with very promising and forward thinking ideas (reminding somehow of pond, for those who knew of/used it):
