@danie10 Many "older Windows [PCs]" will soon be left unable to play most games at all. Steam announced that their client will drop support for Windows 7 and 8 on 1/1/24. Epic and Origin don't work on XP, Vista, or earlier. There will be a point in which older hardware incompatible with Windows 10, 11, or 12+ will be unable to download and install games even when they were designed for older hardware or OSes.
