Started watching the videos of a booktuber. What I like about her is that instead of roasting and hating books, she mostly presents books which she loves.
And I really appreciate this approach.

However, it seems we have a different book taste. I read a novel she recommended, but to me the pacing was too slow. She also loves a classic novel which I didn't finish, because most of the characters are horrible people.

@amalia12 A sad reality of content creation is that rage bait is extremely, extremely effective. Want reach? Hate on something, be negative. You'll attract both sides of the discussion and likely get responses made trying to prove you wrong, etc.

It sucks. Glad you found someone not just in it for the clicks!

Highly nitpicky question: Would a Monk's healing abilities through harnessing Ki be considered a natural source of healing or more magical? I am struggling to find a good source on what exactly it would be counted as.

Monks make careful study of a magical energy that most monastic traditions call ki."

Pretty clear they're considering KI to be a type of magic.

@reisutheowl It's very smart to do. I got a regular job as well, which will likely remain the main source of income for me for years to come, if not indefinitely. If I could live off of live streaming or other projects some day, heck, I would. But until then, got to be ground down a bit by capitalism until the goal is reached.

Just don't give up on the art due to the trials and tribulations of day to day stress. You're far too good at what you do for that already!

Good news: The water damage we had since last year October is finally being fixed. 😊
Bad news: Huge dehumidifiers now live in our kitchen and living room for three weeks. 😕
(no unsolicited advice, we're handling rent reduction and all that stuff already)

@dedalusroot good lord, that sucks. Hope it all turns out well.

I moved two years ago due to water damage and a very slow to act house management. Luckily, the landlord was fine with me terminating immediately and without keeping any of the deposit. Was stressful just leaving it behind. Can't imagine the stress of being there while it's getting fixed

I love how airlines are trying to be cute with their promotional emails: "Final call for this amazing deal!"

Final call on an airport gives me anxiety, even if I am right at the gate. eMail gets instantly deleted and airline blacklisted in my mind. Not that I fly much these days, but heck, stop stressing me in my free time, you fools.
