Empricorn,

now there is no way I will ever touch anything Tesla or related to Musk.

Just like his ex-wives.

Empricorn,

For some reason, that’s extremely offensive to me, even if they worked flawlessly.

Empricorn,

I’ve heard that too, but it seems pretty unlikely and I never experienced it when I had bedbugs. Plus it would have to be a pregnant(?) bedbug to continue to spread the infestation, otherwise the rare one that dropped on the bed would be stuck there and eventually die…

He’s got a great, unique voice but I can’t imagine it working for Terminator. Then again, I wouldn’t have believed a Tom Hardy Bane voice would have been any good either…

Empricorn,

Common misconception. Fiduciary Duty means the Board of Directors has to act in a company’s best interest. It does not mean they legally have to maximize every single profit possibility, short and long-term. Some people feel that improving a company’s reputation or outreach is in its best interest, even if it doesn’t increase profits.

It’s also important to know that no one has ever been found guilty of failing to fulfill fiduciary duty, and it’s pretty vague. Companies can still do what they want, don’t let them tell you their hands were tied and they had to do [awful, greedy thing that everyone hates]…

Empricorn,

I dislike Apple, but respect for that. 👊

So, so sick of these pathetic companies monetizing everything to the max to the detriment of everything else, then saying “Oopsie mistake! That was not intended” when the backlash is too great. If they said “our publisher was not content with making a great profit, we wanted to ruin your experience to maximize shareholder returns, but you folks all complained too much and it’s now affecting our reputation”, I would at least respect the honesty…

Empricorn,

What an odd comment. Literally no one but that MAGA couple cares if they get their exact same guns returned, this is about having their privilege to own firearms restored after pointing guns at peaceful protestors.

It’s literally brave of you to come to this community and this thread and say that you love your console. And then to express positivity for PC users! You are exactly what we need more of in gaming.

Empricorn,

They said “sex”, you said “reproduced”.

Empricorn,

I don’t watch him or any top YouTubers, but many other clickbait thumbnails are far worse and more annoying with their shocked “YouTube face”…

Empricorn,

MTG is a despicable human and is incapable of being on the moral side of any issue.

Empricorn,

Police aren’t civilians and they aren’t workers. Abolish their “union” as well as Qualified Immunity. They can earn the right to not be prosecuted while doing their job…

Empricorn,

But one of the top things you might do if you were an immoral bully who was immune from criminal prosecution.

Oxford Languages definition:

civilian:

noun

a person not in the armed services or the police force.

I’m obviously using the term in a non-military context as the topic is policing, not military or international conflict.

Empricorn,

They are literally above the law. So again, not civilians. That’s the difference. They aren’t a real union because it’s not workers banding together.

Empricorn,

It would be better if he had a whole pack full of them, and used the skillets up by throwing them at enemies.

The Paradox of Tolerance:

The paradox of tolerance states that if a society’s practice of tolerance is inclusive of the intolerant, intolerance will ultimately dominate, eliminating the tolerant and the practice of tolerance with them.

Also, I like this story, transcribed from a series of tweets - @iamragesparkle:

I was at a shitty crustpunk bar once getting an after-work beer. One of those shitholes where the bartenders clearly hate you. So the bartender and I were ignoring one another when someone sits next to me and he immediately says, “no. get out.”

And the dude next to me says, “hey i’m not doing anything, i’m a paying customer.” and the bartender reaches under the counter for a bat or something and says, “out. now.” and the dude leaves, kind of yelling. And he was dressed in a punk uniform, I noticed

Anyway, I asked what that was about and the bartender was like, “you didn’t see his vest but it was all nazi shit. Iron crosses and stuff. You get to recognize them.”

And i was like, ohok and he continues.

"you have to nip it in the bud immediately. These guys come in and it’s always a nice, polite one. And you serve them because you don’t want to cause a scene. And then they become a regular and after awhile they bring a friend. And that dude is cool too.

And then THEY bring friends and the friends bring friends and they stop being cool and then you realize, oh shit, this is a Nazi bar now. And it’s too late because they’re entrenched and if you try to kick them out, they cause a PROBLEM. So you have to shut them down.

And i was like, ‘oh damn.’ and he said “yeah, you have to ignore their reasonable arguments because their end goal is to be terrible, awful people.”

And then he went back to ignoring me. But I haven’t forgotten that at all.

Empricorn,

I mean, I would argue the “Coward’s Swastika” (thin blue line) flags are about pride.
